When installing a software upgrade (new version) over an older version, if you get "error result is 42" then it means that your computer has failed to replace the old files with the new files, usually due to insufficient permissions.

CopySafe Service Upgrade
======================

If an error occurs when upgrading to the latest versions, it is because the CopySafe Service has been upgraded. As a Windows Service it may require more attention than usual to overwrite its existing files.

So we recommend running the installer again, only this time, right-click the installer and select "Run as Administrator".

Update Failure
=============

If install still fails after using "Run as Administrator" it will be because the CopySafe Service files have not been overwritten, in which they case they will need to be removed before installing again.

To Remove the Copysafe Service
===========================

Open a command prompt and run the following commands:
1. SC STOP CSHelper
2. SC delete CSHelper

Then manually delete all files found at:
For 32-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArtistScope
For 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\ArtistScope

Now run the installer using "Run as Administrator"
