The online book cover design tool that ArtistScope provides is primarily to serve authors using the Copysafe Book Store. If the image size is unsuitable for other book sites then your "other" book site requirements may be irregular because the size that we decided to publish at was governed by the most size used by the majority of online book sites.

Suitable image types are GIF, JPG and PNG of good quality and at least 507 pixels high x 314 pixels wide.

The width and height ratio used in our book design tool are directly proportional to paperbacks in the real world.
