Website Copy Protection For All Media And Devices

January 22, 2022 -- ArtistScope celebrates the 10th anniversary of the release of the ArtistScope Site Protection Software (ASPS) and the release of ArtisBrowser for all Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices.

Up until late 2000 the ArtisBrowser was a Windows only solution, mainly because mobile phone platforms were considered insecure in comparison to the Windows version, and provide exploits in what is already a most secure and most sophisticated site protection solution.

Then late 2000 the Mac version of ArtisBrowser was released but there was still a huge demand for support on all platforms, especially mobile phones. So early last year (2021) Android and iOS versions of ArtisBrowser were released. However those platforms have many limitations and sustaining the level of protection provided by Windows and Mac versions was not only most difficult but seemingly impossible in the beginning. Consequently both Android and iOS versions began with bugs.

However, as ASPS turns 10 years old, all of those bugs have been resolved.

Today’s online tutors are demanding Android support for maximized sales and whereas mid last year, Windows 10 was the highest user ratio, but today Android users now make up for more than 70% of ArtisBrowser usage. That means that more than 70% of students studying content protected by ASPS are using Android mobile devices.

ASPS is protecting all manner of data and media that is displayed on web pages, and the copy protection provided by ArtisBrowser is second to none. Viewing video tutorials on a small hand sized screen cannot be enjoyable as watching on a good desktop monitor but everyone has a mobile phone, and they don’t have to be at a desk to study. They can study while travelling, sitting in waiting rooms and at any time just to kill time.

ASPS and ArtisBrowser can be used for any online project, in fact anything that can be displayed on a web page can be most securely copy protected on all devices. Most online tutors are using a CMS with a learning management system (LMS). Universities and colleges seem to prefer Moodle which is complex solution dedicated to course level tutoring and grading, while others are finding that WordPress with a LMS plugin like LearnPress is more versatile and easier to use. By versatile, I mean that WordPress makes a better doorway site than Moodle and it is quicker to learn.

Copy protecting web pages in CMS like DNN, Drupal, Joomla, Moodle and WordPress is very easy and no pages need to be edited or altered to make them compatible, thanks to our ASPS Tag Management plugin which allows site owners to simply nominate which pages to protect by nominating a keyword found in their URL. For example if “lesson” is nominated, then any web page that includes “lesson” in its URL will be automatically injected with the required code to tag it for protection. Then when the server side module detects that tag it will know to deliver that page encrypted so that only the ArtisBrowser can display it.

There is no other solution like the ArtistScope Site Protection Software (ASPS) and the ArtisBrowser, which is why others in the copy protection industry are campaigning to discredit it by giving bad reviews wherever they can.
