SafeGuard Media and DRM Plugins for WordPress 7.1
Our Wordpress plugins for Safeguard Media and Safeguard DRM have been revised and updated to support the latest version of Wordpress (7.1).
Our plugins are unique when it comes to "copy protection" because no plugin on its own can prevent screen capture. But the CopySafe and Safeguard plugins are merely a means to interface real copy protection solutions that can action at system level which is where copy needs to be controlled.
What makes that possible is that users are required to use the ArtisBrowser, a specially designed secure web browser that, unlike all other web browsers, can control copy at system level. When a web page tagged for "Protect Mode" is opened by ArtisBrowser, nothing can be saved or copied in any way - not even by using third party screen capture and recording software.
Safeguard and CopySafe content displayed on your website will always be most secure and safe from all exploits - while it can be viewed by the ArtisBrowser, it will not be accessible by any other means. By using our plugins, anyone with a WordPress website can add the most secure copy protection to their web pages.
The Alternatives
There is another WordPress plugin that is quite popular for "copy protection" - but only because its users are naive and do not understand how simply disabling menu options does NOT prevent copy by anyone with half a brain.
For anyone who has original media that needs to be protected from plagiarism and copycats, only the CopySafe and Safeguard solutions are recommended. Sure there are a lot of other solutions advertised, but regardless of how long they have been peddling them, they all have the same things in common:
- They are imitations of our developments.
- They do not protect from all avenues of exploit.
- They are expensive and provide poor support.
Copy protection is not big business - that fallacy was promoted by interlopers during the dot com boom as a means of sucking in investors. The people who actually have intellectual property and the need to protect it are very few, and most cannot afford to pay much at all. But we still see copycats peddling solutions at prices that no-one can afford - they may be clever in being able to imitate our solutions, but not so clever in realising that they are wasting everyone's time.
Ease of Use
While our plugins make it very easy to add copy protection to WordPress pages, it doesn't end there - because any web site can use our copy protection solutions by simply adding some html code to their web page. For those who have either a dedicated server or VPS, there is the option of installing the ArtistScope Site Protection System (ASPS) on their server, enabling the copy protection of all media displayed on any type of web page.
Platform Support
ArtisBrowser is available for use on all popular operating systems like Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android mobile phones. Clients can allow/disallow any OS and also require minimum versions for the latest security updates. A Linux version will be available soon.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is way too common these days - hardly anything we see today is original - instead developers and "entrepreneurs" take shortcuts by imitating what took a lot of research and development by others to create a proof of concept. Yes, it is theft of intellectual property and a breach of Copyright, but most of these monkey-brains are either unreachable or in countries whose favorite sports include depriving the western world of any dollar they can.
ArtistScope began as a group of artists wanting to protect their livelihood, so our solutions were designed for use by artists (and authors), and there no amount of spamvertising will ever change the fact that our competitors are trying to sell the concept of copy protection based on stolen property.
William Kent, our founder and a commercial artist for 60 years, is currently working on a solo exhibit - the main introductory piece is titled "Plagiarsm" depicting the void resulting from theft- it also invokes a challenge to find anything in the exhibit that is not original.
Much the same applies to ArtistScope copy protection solutions - try to find anything that we developed that was not original and invented by us.
