Does "remote viewing" enable file sharing?
No, it doesn't enable file sharing. What is does do is enable viewing on a remote partition such as when running a different OS in a partition created by VMware or Parallels. For example Mac users can install Windows via Parallels to be able to read Copysafe PDF.
But because the copy protection is applied to teh OS system inside that partition, it may be possible to screen capture from a window running the original OS where copy protection has not been applied.
The default setting, and the recommended setting is "remote viewing disabled". The author enables "remote viewing" at their own discretion.
