Firstly, you can forget about search engines accessing ASPS protected web pages because they are protected with encryption. Isn't that why you would use ASPS... to protect from plagiarism, copy and scraping?

In regard to page load speed, load tests do not show any significant difference or in crease in server load when delivering ASPS web pages.

So using ASPS on my website will block search engines? That won't be good for business.

Yes, but only to the pages that you nominate for copy protection. The rest of the site will still be accessible by the public, search engines and other bots.

Pages that you want to copy protect can be nominated by adding a meta-tag. That can be done manually or by using a template for such pages. But most website owners using a CMS like WordPress, Moodle, Drupal, Joomla or Nuke, use the ASPS Tag Management plugin which can be used to nominate which pages to copy protect by simply nominating a keyword found in their url.

For example if the keyword is "lessons" then all urls that include the word "lessons" in their url will be encrypted and copy protected when on display in ArtisBrowser, ie: example.com/lessons/first-year-maths-1/
