Some .CHM files may not open or display properly on Windows Vista and Windows 7

This can happen when the .CHM file has been downloaded from the Internet and seen as an untrusted source. To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
  1. Right-click on the .CHM file and choose Properties
  2. On the General tab, click the button labeled "Unblock"
  3. Click OK
Could not find the program associated with .CHM file types

CHM files are Windows compiled HTML help files, and normally these files are opened by the same application that opens the Start > Help and Support window. If by chance the CHM file was created in a different version of Windows, please see this article.

Could not open CHM file on 64-bit computer

First check that your computer has been enabled to run 32-bit software. Further, you may need to download and install this program to enable the opening of CHM files.
